US based Epsilon will hire 600 engineers in Bengaluru in 2016

Epsilon, a Boston-based digital marketing company, will hire 600 engineers for its Bengaluru facility by the end of this calendar year. The company , which has many Fortune 500 firms as clients including Google, Adidas, American Express and General Motors, already has 400 employees in India. The fresh hiring will make it the largest centre outside of the US.

Epsilon, which formally started the India operations last September, will hire fresh graduates for the various positions that include data analytics, and running digital campaigns and experiences. "Most digital technologies are new and we could train them better and make them ready," CEO Andy Frawley told TOI. The Bengaluru office is a hub for global quality assurance, that is, testing of the technological platforms developed by the company.

"The Bengaluru centre is not a distant outsourcing outpost and is integrated with all our global teams," said Frawley. Before setting up the centre n the city, Epsilon employed two global consultancies to study various cities across the globe. "It was a clean sheet of paper and they suggested Bengaluru for the talent and scale we were looking for and we are happy," Frawley added. Epsilon has also announced donation of $100,000 for various social causes in India.

The private company competes with the likes of Google and Facebook in the digital advertisement space while working with brands. Epsilon gets most of its revenue from sectors like automotive, financial sector and retail. It said that it is a market leader in email marketing and measuring loyalty. It also does offline marketing for the brands it works with. Epsilon provides data analytics to brands to understand the return on investment.
